Jim beezley
Lead Pastor
Pastor Jim has been married to his high school sweetheart, Angela, for the past 18 years. They have two amazing gifts, Jackson and Jovie. He loves playing with his kids, dating his wife, being outdoors enjoying nature and playing sports. He also enjoys creating music. He grew up in West Michigan, graduating from Reeths-Puffer High School, earning his BA from Michigan State University in Education, and M. Divinity from Western Theological Seminary. Although growing up in the church, Jim wrestled with complete surrender until mid way through college. He came face to face with grace after questioning the faith he grew up with. While listening to Lifehouse's "Hanging by a Moment" he felt the nudge of the Spirit confronting his rebellion and calling him to the life Jesus died for. He answered by faith and continues to answer. God gave Jim a great passion for people, wanting to see them break the apathetic or routine approach of religion, and instead embrace the life of faith that Jesus calls us to in following Him. For Jim, this faith journey has led him out of teaching and into ministry. He has been a youth pastor, worship director, twenty and thirty-somethings pastor, and has served as the lead pastor at The Adventure Church for the past 7 years.

Justin Stapel
FAMILY Ministry Director
Pastor Justin has been married to his lovely wife Tia for the last 18 years. Together they have one son, Isaiah along with a lazy great dane named Rocket and a tiny puma named Spartan. Justin and his family love spending time outside camping, hiking, hanging at the beach, fishing, and bike riding. Justin and Tia are long-time Muskegon-people who love serving where they are planted. Justin graduated from Reeths-Puffer High School and then attended Trinity International University. Justin has served in ministry here in Muskegon for two decades through youth ministry, college/young adult ministry, and most recently as the family pastor at Olivet Church. Justin is passionate about being a disciple who creates more disciples and believes strongly that discipling families is at the core of living out and sharing the gospel with the world around us. We are called to live out the adventure that God has called us to and this starts with our families. At the Adventure Church, Justin hopes to develop a community of families who live on adventure together as parents and adults who disciple the next generation of believers and help them live out the adventure to which God has called them.

Alex lynch
Worship director
My wife and I are grateful to be back in Michigan with our family which includes Kate, Rory, Asa and our dog Moose. Some things that interest me are music, cheering on my teams – the Chiefs, Royals, Jayhawks -, wakeboarding and snowboarding, video games and board games. I attended Indiana Wesleyan and have 2 degrees for Christian Worship and Marketing. I sell insurance full time at State Farm and I am your good neighbor :) I love getting to help customers everyday with their needs and serving them. I am excited for the work of God and bringing Him glory with you all. In college, I heard God ask me, “If you enjoy singing, why don’t you this for my glory?" I am thankful to be a part of The Adventure Church and go on this journey together. My favorite verses come from Hebrews 12:1-2. Look it up :)

ASHLEIGH FOWLER
Administrative assistant
Ashleigh grew up in West Michigan, graduating from Grand Haven High School, Grand Valley State University, and Western Michigan University. Ashleigh graduated from GVSU with a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and Group Social Studies with an emphasis in History. Ashleigh also has her Master's in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).On top of working at the Adventure Church, she is the elementary ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher at a local school district. Ashleigh's interests include; reading, cooking, traveling, politics/current events, spending time with her parents and grandparents, and catching up on historical dramas. Ashleigh grew up in the church, however, she didn't comprehend what it truly meant to be a Christ follower until a few years ago. She now knows that the Gospel is for everyone and that all Christ followers are meant to be disciples. Because of her social studies/education background, Ashleigh's favorite Bible verse is Galatians 3:28. In the past, Ashleigh has worked at the Adventure Church as the interim children's ministry director. Currently, she works as the administrative assistant. Ashleigh enjoys working "behind the scenes" and getting things ready for Sunday mornings and creating/publishing all of The Adventure Church's forms of communication.
